Child Safety Standards
Last updated: September 25, 2026
Habitform has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) — including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sextortion, and any content that sexualizes or endangers a minor. This page is our public standard for preventing it, how you can report it, and what we do when it's reported. Safety contact: jamesnvd@gmail.com.
1. What is not allowed
- Any sexual or sexualized content involving a person under 18, in any form (images, video, text, audio, links).
- Grooming, soliciting, or attempting to contact a minor for sexual purposes, or sextortion.
- Sharing, requesting, trading, or linking to CSAM.
- Using Habitform's profiles, posts, comments, clubs, or events to facilitate any of the above.
More broadly, sexually explicit content, nudity, harassment, threats, and hate are not allowed anywhere in the app (see the Terms of Service Child Safety Delete Account).
2. Who can use Habitform
Habitform is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly allow them to use it. Accounts belonging to someone under 13 are removed when we learn of them. Social features are opt-in and default to private: sessions are private unless a person chooses to share them, and following someone requires their approval.
3. How to report a concern
- In the app: tap the flag on any post or comment, or open a profile's menu, and choose Report. Pick Child safety to have it reviewed first. You can also file a report from Settings → Safety.
- By email: jamesnvd@gmail.com, with a link or description of what you saw. Please don't attach or forward the material itself.
- If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
4. What we do with reports
- Child-safety reports are reviewed before all others, by a person, and prioritized above everything else.
- Content that violates these standards is removed, and the account responsible is suspended or permanently removed.
- Apparent CSAM is preserved as required by law and reported to the U.S. National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) through its CyberTipline, and to the relevant regional or national authority. We cooperate with law enforcement requests.
- Reports are retained even if the reporter or the reported person later deletes their account, so a safety report can't be erased by deleting an account.
- We never tell the reported person who made the report.
5. Preventing it in the first place
- Automated screening: photos are checked by an automated moderation service before they're published, and content it identifies as sexual or as involving minors is blocked and escalated for review.
- Blocking: anyone can block another user; a blocked person's content is hidden from the blocker.
- Privacy by default: private-by-default sessions, approval-based following, and per-section profile privacy limit who can see or contact someone.
- Prompt enforcement: repeat or severe violations lead to permanent removal.
6. Compliance
Habitform complies with applicable child-safety laws and reports to regional and national authorities where required. These standards are reviewed and updated as our features change.
